Four hours
It took me so long because I didn't feel right unless I rechecked everything over 100 times. Although it took me so long, I must say it was rewarding and fun to do it myself. I did the vales to the tighter side, I did .006 for the intake and made sure .007 didn't fit and then I did .007 for the exhaust and made sure .008 didn't fit. I even reused the valve cover gasket. Fun I'll tell ya.
P.S. Next week I'm doing cap, rotor, fuel filter, clean and oil air filter, and trans fluid change. Wish me luck. Does anyone have a link to do it yourself trans fluid change and/or fuel filter install. Thanks

there is a pic of which bolts to take off. use MTF (around 2.2 qts). make sure the car is level...on 4 jackstands. I actually just pour until it comes out which is a little over 2 quarts and then put the plug back in. Any excess will seep out of the tranny and you might smell it after driving it a few minutes. nothing to worry about.

i hate doing my valve adjustment. I used to work at HONDA and i always had it done by a veteran honda tech that knows over the years how much resistance/drag there should be.
the last time i attempted to do it i did it to tight and my car sounded like it had a fukin cam in it... lol

Good job bro. It was smart of you not to tackle it all in one day. I did all the things you listed one Saturday and my lower back and the area behind my knees were killing me. Out of all the stuff you listed, it seems like the only one that might get you frustrated is the ignition rotor. That screw's on there tight. Good luck with the rest of you junx.

Congrats on the valve adjustment. Be careful not to strip the screw when changing the distributor rotor. Mine won't come off now and I have to take it to a shop to get replaced.
Good work....
Changing the trans fluid (in my opinion) is as easy as doing an oil change. You'll see.

Thanks, yeah all the valves intake and exhaust were loose .009-.011, but not as much as .012
So the trans fluid is a snap, I need to be careful with the rotor screw, and what about the fuel filter change? Any special directions on doing that job?
