What Part is this from the throttle body on my h22a4?
What is it?
What does it do?
Is it Important?
and can I remove it from the intake manifold?

 

Intake air butterfly assembly(IAB). Designed by Honda to allow them to optimize the engine performance for different circumstances via dynamically altering intake manifold runner length.

You can remove it but you need to replace it with a spacer. You will lose some low end torque but gain a little bit of horsepower with it removed.
