P0132 sensor 1 high voltage
Hey everyone, I'm new here. Thanks for any help in advance.
I've had my 1999 civic SI (canadian) for about a year now, and bought it without a catalytic converter from the previous owner since it rusted off. About a week ago, I had some help replacing the stock exhaust manifold with an aftermarket one I got on marketplace and at the same time installed a new catalytic converter. I also replaced both old O2 sensors with new ones from NTK/NGK. I had some other codes before replacing the sensors that have since been fixed since replacing both sensors. The issue im dealing with now is that the new upstream sensor seems to be pinned at 1.275v on my scanner and throws p0132 after just a minute or so of driving. I'm using a wire extender since the manifold I have now has a bung higher up on the manifold, rather than the stock version of being under the car right before the cat. There is a hole there but the plug is rusted in there pretty good. I've checked fuses, wiring and haven't seen anything too apparent, but I'll double check. The car used to smell a lot like fuel and has since diminished a bit, but I pulled my spark plugs and they look fine. My questions essentially being, 1) can the 02 sensor being in a different spot cause it to read less oxygen or to be pinned at 1.275v, and if not what could be some other causes of that? 2) can the o2 sensor being higher up on the manifold compared to the stock location cause any other issues or should it be fine where it is?
