Default Factory Exhaust has to go - thoughts?

2013 Accord V6 - 6 speed. I like the Borla S sound but $1100 is too pricey for me. I have an exhaust guy who can do the piping affordably but which mufflers? Looking for mild sound - maybe 25 -35%% louder than stock but not annoying at highway speeds. I plan to leave the resonator to help with highway speeds. HP is not an issue with this thing, just want some sound. Really really appreciate input.

I have watched them a ton for several weeks. Hoping someone can give me thoughts on something cheaper than Borla. Thanks

there's no secret sauce inside those Borla mufflers. they are just perf-core in an oval body. The higher price is for the branding and the high-polish look.

measure the available space and/or the factory mufflers for length and width- the height usually won't matter since aftermarket mufflers tend to be "flatter" than stock. and decide what tube size you're going with.

In the exhaust section under mufflers and resonators on Summit Racing filter for "universal" and "perf core" then your measurements for overall size and pipe OD.

Jones Exhaust brand is probably the best bang for the buck. same quality as the other brands but without the added cost of a marketing department...

I like my Takeda catback, sounds great and not loud at all with the stock resonator. Can be found for around $800. I ended up removing the resonator for a bit more sound.

Can you measure the mufflers on those for me? I'd like to get some of my own mufflers for a custom catback but can't find any information regarding the muffler size they used. Thanks
