VSA, Hillside Start Assist, Power Steering and Brake System Issues
I currently own a 2014 Honda Civic, all stock. I woke up one morning to drive to work and noticed that all of a sudden I had a VSA light, hillside assistant light and power steering light come on my car. At the same time, I was unable to put my car into gear from park then the brake systems alert came up on my dash as well. I have noticed that when I press the brake pedal, the brake lights also do not light up.
I had a friend use their scanner tool to check what was going on and I'll attach those photos. I removed the brake switch to test it with a meter and it seems to work fine. My fuses all seem to be in working order visually but I didn't actually removed the fusible link ( im doing that today). My battery tested fine while off (12.5) and on (14.4).
Im looking for any input at all. Ive heard some horror stories lf people taking their car in to get fixed and theyve had their vsa modulator replaced unnecessarily when it wasn't the issue among othe things and it was a very expensive repair. I'm looking to see if there may be some other options of things to check prior to me taking it into the shop. Thanks in advance ! (I know there are codes for my airbag and a DSL. They are separate from the other issues)
