Default HVAC Electrical Component I.D.?

2008 Civic SI Sedan 85000 mi.

I've been chasing an HVAC issue where the A/C shuts down after acceleration and then stopping. I've eliminated the usual relay problem by testing the relay and verifying that the switching power is present at the relay when the compressor is not engaged. All freon levels are good and it works fine except in the stated situation. I'm relatively sure the problem is in the compressor over-temperature circuit and suspect the overtemp sensor however, the wiring diagram that I have shows an un-named device that appears to have some form of controlling function.
Can anyone help identify this item and tell me where might I find it?
Thanks in advance.

What is the device in the red box?

That is junction connector C101, located near to the brake fluid reservoir.

I believe that is just a splice point.

Check for continuity across that thermal switch when it stops working.

Hey guys, thanks for the quick reply. I found it easier to remove the sensor than test it with the car hot and running. I used a heat gun and thermometer and it appears that the switch is disconnectiong below 200F.
It is not easy to find a Honda switch that specifically states that it will fit my 2008 Civic SI. The online parts houses don't list it separately from the compressor. Ebay and Amazon show a Honda part but no detail about the application. Can you comment on this part number? My suspicion is that it is a generic Honda part that fits many models but that is only a guess.

Thanks again

Looks like it's a direct replacement for not SI trims.
