Default Did I short PCM my 2002 Honda Civic Ex ?

Hi Fellas. I just changed the timing belt on my brother's 2002 Civic. All went relatively well, but I received the Crankcase Position Sensor code.0335 upon startup. The connector to the CPS is a 3-pin connector. Upon trying to diagnose the connector per the manual's instructions, I think I may have shorted out the PCM.

In a nutshell, the connector has a 5V reference wire, Neutral Wire & 12V power wire. I had the connector upside down on the last test and had metal pins extended from the back of the connector from the 5V reference wire (should have been the 12V power wire) and the Neutral wire--it read 5.0V. However, the metal pins touched each other for a second or two. The metal pin from the Neutral wire heated up. I rechecked the 5V reference wire to battery ground after this and it read a steady 5.5 volts. Before it read 5.0 volts. I don't know if this is possible a sign the PCM is damaged?

Other more significant things that alarmed me after the wire touched:
1) The car started before and the CEL came on with the 0335 fault. Now the car cranks but will not start at all.
2) My ODBII reader will not connect to the car.

I hope I am getting all worked up over nothing. That when I replace the CPS the car will fire up and run normally, but I just don't know enough to conclusively say a PCM can be damaged by what I did.

ANY opinion/insight is very welcomed.

Thanks.

Check under-hood Fuse No. 6 (15A).

Well, the fuse was blown. I have never been so happy to see a blown fuse in my entire life. Car fired right up after the extended cranking due to the CKP sensor being installed incorrectly during my TB change. Funny thing is my gut told me that the pin on the CKP sensor should fit into that boss on the engine block, but it seemed to fit they way I installed it. It is obviously installed incorrect now (confirmed by youtube videos) and I am sure it's the reason I got the CKP sensor fault in the first place. So all the messing with the connector was completely unnecessary. Of course I panicked last night thinking I fried the PCM during a wiring "diagnosis" that wasn't even necessary. I have some work ahead of me to get back at the CKP, but I feel 1000% better since I know the PCM is fine and what needs to be done to fix the CKP sensor fault code.

I appreciate your prompt and accurate response. I literally couldn't sleep last night.....
