Not too sure how long most of you have been on here or who is still active and not but I thought it would be right to let the community know that we lost another good friend. A friend to many here through the years and a close friend/brother to myself. 00-501itrspec, a.k.a. Jared, absolutely lived for his car. Even though he wasn't always in the best position to keep her running through the years, nothing gave him more joy than the trips he took and all the stories that revolved around owning this piece of history, his 2000 FBP, Boosted, Integra Type R!



Though not in the best current condition I am happy to report that his car still lives. And in his memory,it will be restored! Anyone who remembers or cares to look through the history here, knows the car went through a few builds, and a few different mechanics have left their mark on it. It’s already proven challenging/fun diving deep and and piecing together what already stands. The obvious is a bit of front end body work and a wiring harness. Overall the cars in pretty good shape. Aside from needing a carpet the interior is in great shape. I know it will be a long fun road ahead, and I plan to document the restoration here.



I make this post today as it would have been his 40th birthday. To all that knew him, thank you making that mark in his life. R.I.P. Jared. 00-501itrspec 🙏🏻

I think his boosted R was one of my core memory videos and influenced me building my boosted R.

Do you know if he had a YT screen name I can search for?? Or where some of those old vids may be? Need to verify LOL

The specific video Im talking about that I had on replay was him pulling up to a intersection, camera pointed towards dash and cluster, but not enough to see the road ahead... He makes a slow right turn and then just hammmmmmmers down the road and it sounds amaaaazing. I had to have watched that video 500+ times. (That one, and the one of the K20 in the EG roasting an EVO in like 2005. Forever embedded in my memory)

 

I don't know that he had a lot of media online. There certainly isn't much left... a lot of photobucket branded photos lol.

Anyway I hope it was him who inspired you. Thats a nice thought to carry!
