What is this piece that sticks down off the front left and right crossmembers on my 2024 Accord. What is it used for ? Also the left looks like it is pulled slightly forward more than the left. Is this an issue?

 

They appear to be tow hooks... and the damage on the left one suggests that you have struck something and bent it.

 

That was my thought as to what they were as well , but I hoping to figure out if this a structural issue. I just recently had gotten this car and I haven’t to my knowledge struck anything. Plus that would indicate it being pushed back, this hook is pulled forward slightly. Also there is no scratches or damage to the shield underneath and the other side is fine. If something was struck I would think it would be bilateral.
