Default Breather hose vacccum leak

I got a 97 y8 swap in a 2000 dx. The only current issue I have is the pcv. The breather hose nipple on the manifold. The car runs without the nipple for the pvc covered up. But with it plugged up or capped of. The car immediately dies out. Maybe idle at 100 for a couple seconds the eventually dies. Everything is hooked up right. With the car running. If u put your hand over the leak it's dies out. If it u leave the leak open. It runs but surges and drives like crap obviously. Car runs with vaccum leak. And doesn't without it I don't get it. My friend came over. Accidentally took my coolant line to my water neck. And plugged it back. Had to refill my coolant. But he told me turn it on while his finger was on the nipple. It started. Idled perfect. Not a single misfire or surge. He takes it off. Back to surging. Puts it back on. Back to regular idle. So I cap it off. We drive it. It drives perfect. I cut it off. Later I come.back to start it. Doesn't start. Doing the same things. Runs with vaccum leak. Doesn't run without it. Can someone please help. I've dome so much trying to chase this issue. My only CEL Are for 1 of my o2 sensors. An ELD. And air intake temp sensor for the Cold air intake
