Mitsuba RK-0280 door lock unit to OMRON keyless unit?
Hello, I've browsed a little and searched quite a bit on the internet but have not stumbled upon anyone with my situation.
I bought a 2001 CR-V with very low mileage and as I am repairing a few small issues it has I wondered if I could get some keyless entry keys. (edited, by keys I mean fobs!)
The CR-V is, afaik, an English make for the European market (destination country was the Netherlands, I imported the car to Germany).
I de-installed the driver side door and to my surprise did not find the usual OMRON control unit as described in many forum posts and some youtube videos, but a MITSUBA door lock control unit, type RK-0280.
First of all I may ask, as I am not experienced, am I in over my head wanting to replace this unit with one that allows keyless entry, if at all possible?
If it is possible, somewhat doable without advanced technical knowledge, is there a unit that I could replace it with that would grant me keyless entry with a fob and if so, I guess there might be some rewiring to do as the cable ports might be different? I have no idea honestly, if it would only be this unit, or further cables and connections that would need to be replaced?
I'd be happy if perhaps someone here is knowledgeable enough to give me some advice and I'll be back to talk and perhaps give some updates on how the car and its maintenance is going along?
Re: Mitsuba RK-0280 door lock unit to OMRON keyless unit?
Hello everyone! A little update and another question:
I have had no luck finding information on replacing the Module - figured it is not something that can easily be done as probably quite some cable rewiring would need to be done etcetera, It does not seem as it is something anyone on the internet has documented.
So, I opted for an aftermarket keyfob which I installed successfully - I only needed to add one doorlock motor on the driver side door which now triggers all of the other three doors. It works well!
I am however stuck at two little issues concerning further cable wiring, as I am an absolute amateur:
in order for the turn indicator lights to flash up when opening the car remotely I would need to hook up the little computer to the left/right side indicator light cables somewhere
in order to open the trunk latch I'd also need to find this cable somewhere.
All three cables preferably somewhere underneath the steering wheel, if they are to be found there?
Could anyone experienced who know where I can find these cables point them out to me with a picture or two?
I'd be very grateful!
I have the circuit diagram here but as I said am uncertain where to find the cables. Is it green/red and green/yellow I should be looking for? Before the relay I guess?

As an extra, here are some pictures of a bit of work I did on my cr-v recently:
tweeters for the crv fdm printed looks good but did one more adaption with better angle for clearer sound valve cover not looking good repainted after careful sandblasting and thorough cleaning of trapped sand underneath the cover looks good!
