Default D16y5 rocker arm assembly install

Hey guys, I just did some work on my head and I'm putting my rocker arm assembly back in and I'm just looking for some info before I screw something up because I'm not finding much info online.

Most of the info I'm seeing online are referencing assemblies that use 8 and 6mm bolts but mine uses 12 and 10mm bolts.

Im already at TDC and all valve tapets are loosened.
What I need to know is should the assembly sit down completely flush to the head, I have a small gap, does it go down when I start torquing it down or is something misaligned? I'm at work right now but maybe I'll post a picture later

I also need to know what the torque for the 10 and 12mm bolts are and I need to know if they are torqued in multiple steps or not. I found some info that said 16 for the 12mm bolts and 9 for the 10mm bolts but I'm not sure if that's right..

I already have the sequence since it's the exact opposite of how I took it off.

Edit: there's also a 12 or 14mm bolt on the top left of the assembly that I loosened that seemingly only screws into the assembly, need the torque for that one too, im assuming it's something to do with the oil passages.

Thanks ahead of time.

bolts are sized by the thread nominal, not the hex size/wrench used. you have 6mm and 8mm bolts which have 10mm and 12mm hex heads respectively.

not necessary to be at TDC, but good to double check timing when you're done installing anyway. you'll want to add a touch of Hondabond or ultra gray RTV under the outer caps at install to prevent leaks. it sounds like you have stopped midway through the install so I would suggest removing the assembly and starting over with fresh RTV.

yes, the cam caps should sit flat on the top of the head. look out for the lash adjusters getting stuck on the side of the valve stems rather than on top. if you tighten it down without setting in the right place you can do real damage. Also check that the hollow dowels are lined up and not biding.

torque specs here look right. see "camshaft holder" shouldn't need multi step torquing, but you will want to be sure that the bolt threads are clean and dry and there's no oil in the threaded holes in the head.

Oh wow I feel like an idiot that makes more sense now with the bolts lol.

Didn't know about the rtv thing, didn't see any on there when I took it off but will do.

I'm wondering if the fact that I already put the timing belt back on when I put the cam back in is maybe stopping it from fully seating, might pull the belt back off and see if it helps everything seat down because it really does seem like everything's lining up, just a slight gap.

Yes I did make sure to blow compressed air in all bolt holes.

Thanks for the help, might be a couple days before I get to mess with it again but I'll post an update when I do.
