2001 civic with CEL and limp mode, codes P0135 and P1361
3 weeks ago my check engine light came on and I read out the code as a P0135 and cleared it to see if it would come back. I'm pretty sure I saw the same code ~15 years ago and it went away after clearing back then, too (seemed to be related to my battery being bad last time, but this time my battery is new and tested good).
My car has been fine since then up until last night. On the highway going ~70MPH the CEL came on and the car lost essentially all power. I believe this is called "limp mode". I scootched off to the shoulder of the highway and drove the half mile to the exit at the max speed the car was willing to do, which was maybe 15MPH. I scanned in the codes and I got P0135 (O2 heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1) again but also P1361 (TDC sensor 1 noise).
Should I just replace both sensors? Or is it easy enough to test the sensors without removing them? Or are there diagnostics I should have a mechanic do? I do have a multimeter and am very familiar with how to use it.
Also to confirm - I believe the correct part numbers for the sensors are 37840-RJH-006 for the Cam/TDC sensor and 36531-plm-307 for the O2 sensor, but please correct me if I'm mistaken!

I tried clearing both codes. The P0135 came back almost immediately but the P1361 did not return. So I installed a new O2 sensor yesterday and cleared the P0135 code. OEM part was backordered everywhere so I got a Denso 234-4074 from Rockauto. So far (10 miles - not a big test) no codes have returned since the new O2 sensor was installed.
The Cam/TDC sensor is arriving today so I'll install that as well. I intend to follow this procedure:
.
I am limiting how much I drive it till the new cam sensor is in place as the car is making a new noise that I don't love - if I go medium to heavy on the gas I can hear a strange sound coming from engine. Maybe similar to the sound of blowing bubbles in a glass of water with a straw. I do not think I've heard it before. During idle the sound is 100% gone. But once I give it more gas the sound returns.
Any advice would be appreciated.
