I have been wondering can i use flywheels meant for later model hondas on my '85 Accord?

well it depends on the following:

same bolt pattern on crank, then you would have to use the same cluth that goes with that flywheel or something in the same size and spline pattern of transmission, also check to see if your stock flywheel and the one you are looking to use does/does not use a pilot bearing on the flywheel
