"EDC C0044" displayed, right wheel locked up

"EDC C0044" displayed, right wheel locked up
After" power booster,brake pad replacement" and "bleeding" error code " C0044" displayed. Original problem was power booster
Issue started after replacement of power booster and pads ,bleeding the breaks. Drove 40 miles without issue, then started slow down ,dragging and smell of burnt pads . light smoke and heavy smell of burn pad cumming out of left wheel only . After a few hour was able drive it again back home before issue occurred again.
. Any idea what to check before replacing Anti lock device ? I think I might have missed something . Any ideas would be appreciated.
