Default No power after freshly rebuilt motor first start attempt

I have freshly built d16z6 in a del sol si, today I put the motor in and tried to start it, it cranked and then made a giant bang and then i lost all power 3 seconds after that. No clicking of the starter, no accessory power, nothing at all besides my radiator fan which I have a manual switch for which means my battery didn’t die. I have a suspicion it could be the main fuse but that wouldn’t make sense because I didn’t lose power right away I lost all power about 3-5 seconds after I heard the bang and stopped cranking. I also checked fuses under the hood and they are all good. The motor still turns over manually so it’s not locked up. Anyone got any ideas?
