I just bought a 1995 civic ex with a bad engine. The z6 head is good, I have a jdm d16a bottom end that's good as well. My question lies in the d16a I know the head will work but the d16a came in vtec and non vtec. I'm fairly certain I have the non vtec version because the person I got the engine from said he put a vtec head on it, that it was non vtec. Question is other than the head are both d16a's the same? I'm concerned about maybe the d16a non vtec version being different causing me issues. The d16a vtec us supposedly the same as the z6 but I'm unsure about the non vtec
