Hey guys. Decided to look over my civic today and noticed my pcv valve hose was almost flat. I've had some idle issues for a while, especially a random idle surge that would come randomly so i'd have to relearn the idle every once in a while.
After i noticed the hose though i squeezed a bit and noticed the idle flunctuating a bit. Now i'm wondering if that could be my issue.
For context i did manual swap it, obviously the intake manifold was done. While everything was off i replaced rhe pcv valve with a new one but never thought to replace the hosw. I always thought my idle issues were with the IACV. But i'm wondering if this could be my issue instead. Any ideas? Or is this a whole other can of worms? Thanks.
The photo included was after i took out the hose to inspect it. It was very plyable and dry. Im waiting on the replacment so i cut it tonsee what it looked like inside and man...
Is that the hose from the top of the PCV to the intake plenum? Or is it the hose from the bottom of the PCV to the breather box on the back of the block? That looks like a 5th gen (92-95) PCV hose to the plenum of the Intake Manifold.
