History
2000 accord 2.3L with close to 200k on it. Timing belt, water pump, tensioner (Aisin TKH006 kit) was replaced at 180k, I did it myself last year.
Issue
The bottom of my timing cover was leaking oil, I thought it was one of the cam seal after removing it, it does NOT look like it.(I could be wrong). After removing the cover I noticed two different leaks, one from the left and one from the right.
The left side: Dipstick gasket
I did not realized it but it dipstick was leaking a bunch of oil. Probably because I didn't replace the gasket the last time I removed it from doing the timing belt service. Oil splash up like this? But this area had a lot of nasty think oil. DipStick after removed, Oil coated the stick.
Balance shaft next to the dipstick. It looks like so much oil came out it leaked into the belt cover and into this? Or does it look like the seal needs to be replace? I don't see anything leaking from the bottom of the seal.
Right Side: Water pump
The leak looks new or unlike the other side it still looks slick. I am not sure but it seems like the water pump is leaking coolant and mixing in with oil from somewhere. There are no oil in the water pump right?
Under the water pump Side of the water pump
Let me know what you guys think is the issue or where I should take a closer look at. The car is on jack stands right now and I plan to work on it over the weekend. Just looking for some pointers.
