Default Wiring an odb1 distributor into a 1986 CRX Si

Need any clues as to why I can get a distributor with 16 ckp triggers to start in my 86 CRX Si but when I use a 24 ckp triggered (92 Accord distributor I get no spark. I've tried different coils, ignitors, and tested the signal to ecu with my ohm meter and they all look good. I have 12v on the 3 wires of the ignitor with key on engine off. Reading 5v+- on the other connector (oposite end of ignitor from the tach signal. Setting code 20 and 21. CEL comes on before engine is cranked.

Sooooo, you have an ECU looking for 16 CKP crank position pulses per revolution to sync with the TDC sensor and then you throw on a distributor that reports 24 pulses per revolution... and you wonder why it doesn't start ??? Your solution is simple: If you intend to use an OBD-0 ECU, you will need an OBD-0 16-tooth CKP distributor. If you intend to use an OBD-1 or OBD-2 style 24-tooth CKP distributor, you MUST use an OBD-1 or OBD-2 ECU.
