I have a 96 Honda Accord LX with stock engine F22B2 (non-vtech SOHC), the original owner gave me an engine that is F22B (vtech SOHC). Do not confuse with F22B1. I swap the engine realizing that the distributor and EGR valve and Crankshaft sensor are different on the donor engine F22B. I was able to remove distro, and EGR valve from old engine to the new engine. What option do I have. I read many forum but most were not clear what needs to be done.
So far I found these options
Option 1
transfer OBD2 Parts like Distributor , egr, remove oil pump.
Option 2
Replace engine hardness( what model engine hardness), use OBD1 parts (original Parts),
I'm not sure if i need a vtech ECU if I choose option 1 or 2. If so would a ECU 1997 Honda Accord EX work
Before engine swap After engine swap F22B2 F22B
