ECU not storing readiness monitors status
Hey Everyone,
New to the forum so forgive me if I'm asking a question that has already been answered. I'm a bit desperate here and any and all info could be beneficial. Situation is as follow:
99-00 ek civic. K24A2 swap (jdm k24a). Kpro v4. I am having an issue where the readiness monitors are resetting every time I cycle the ignition off and on. My CAN gauge is also losing memory to the ECU every cycle of the ignition as well. I can reload the tune and the gauge works properly until I cycle the ignition then it loses connectivity status again. I did some digging and found that the main relay is not getting ground for whatever reason. this could be an issue but I feel may not be the main issue. I am using an OEM rsx type s engine harness with a hybrid racing cabin harness.
I am aware that the E7 pin is part of the same circuit that stores the readiness codes. Even when I run ground directly to the main relay, I am still having the same issue. I must also add, besides me finding this issue, the car runs perfectly. Starts every time, runs and drives smooth, no issues at all...actually just got it tuned a few weeks ago and my guy is one of the biggest honda tuners in the U.S. and he found no issues with the car running and "working" properly. I contacted hybrid and in their troubleshooting confirmed there is no issues with the cabin harness. I cant help but feel this is a grounding issue but at the 3 grounding points from the engine/engine harness to chassis, readings are perfect with battery voltage. As stated, not using a swap harness...its an OEM 02-04 rsx type s harness (or so I was told). Regardless if it was a later model type s harness, I would assume the car wouldn't run properly, and that's not the case here. PLEASE HELP...ANYONE!? Thanks in advance for any feedback that can be provided.

PCM needs to have control of the main relay. It will hold the relay on for a few moments after key off to run evap tests and write to memory before shutting down.
Ok, with that said then, is there any tests you can recommend to confirm that this process is happening properly? I would assume hooking a ground directly to the PCM-FI main relay is bypassing the ECU's ability to do this since the ECU isn't controlling the ground in that situation? From what I read on other forums, the ECU controls this ground?
