I swapped in a JDM D17A into my kids 2004 civic lx. Because the car is not VTEC I swapped the head with a non VTEC head to avoid the headaches of making the change over. I tried to start the car and it started and sputtered a little bit then died. Now it cranks but seems like it is not even trying to fire sounds like it’s just spinning. I don’t have the oil pressure switch plugged in but I figure that would just give me a CEL. I don’t have any codes or a CEL so I am kinda at a loss. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
