Is a Honda Accord really an Isuzu?
Have you ever stumbled across a genre of **** that you shouldn’t be looking at but you find yourself watching solely out of curiosity?
Me neither but I assume its kinda like that. Once you see it, you can’t un-see it.... sure you will recover but I just need a little time to process what I’m seeing.
I stumbled on a Honda Accord in drag unrecognisable until you check what was between the legs.
Having quite the deviant past Isuzu tried on many a different outfits ranging from the GM - Chevrolet Cavalier, Holden – Camira, Opel - Ascona , Daihatsu – Charade, and last but not least the Honda Accord/ / Isuka. Sick, absolutly sick!
Introduced in November 1997, this was the second generation of Accord-based Askas - thus the third generation Aska was the fifth generation Accord and the fourth was the sixth generation Accord sedan. The Aska remained a Japanese-only model and was discontinued in 2002. The differences between this and the Accord were limited to the grille, logos, and wheels. One additional change was that the engine head cover had the Honda logo removed, with only "VTEC" remaining.

I hope that somewhere there is a register with Isuzu’s name on it!

Honda was in desperate need of an SUV. So the Accord was given as a swap out. Honda got the Passport from a rebadged Quality Assured Isuzu Rodeo.
I think GM did the same with putting a Honda Engine in a Saturn Vue, I forget what Honda got out of the deal, possibly Avalanche to Ridgeline tech.
Chevy/Toyota Cavalier
Chevy/Isuzu = S-10/Hombre
Disclaimer: I may be remembering these events incorrectly
