I have this strange misfire pattern intermittent spark only on piston 1, so let's say you get 10 sparks a second to each cylinder coming out from the distributor, but ht lead for piston 1 only gives out 4 sparks and not one after the other they seem random, what could this be, new ECM and new Distributor so that rules them out as exact same strange pattern is still there oh new leads and plugs as well but regardless of leads I can test at the cap and still same strange pattern, I have also checked all the wires from ICM to ECM and to the dial for the blue wire nothing seems out of spec, has anyone had no spark or intermittent spark just on one cylinder before, or any idea what else could be fualty.

 

So has no one ever come across something like this before

 

I had a problem that "might" be similar to this, in the morning start it runs fine until afternoon going home on freeway the car would bogged or one of the cylinder is not firing. I change distributor and ecm still have the issue. Later I found the out the 3 wires into the ignition coil module was lose so I used the needle nose and clamp the pin tighter then plug it in no more issue
