Hi,
I have a SOHC D15B engine with s40 hyd trans and want to go cable to put in my hb.
I found two possible trans in my area from d-series, a gearbox from a SOHC, and another one with beefier half shafts out of a DOHC
My question is, since I am going for a turbo build, is a d series DOHC trans a direct fit?
I have searched through the forum and google, and have found both yes and no answers. Would appreciate if someone can shed some light on the correct answer.
that was my first plan, but I've read that you have to modify the pedal and drill through the fire wall. And i would rather not to that and go for cable.
to use the DOHC transmission, you need to use the heavier half shafts and the DOHC intermediate shaft - unfortunately the D15B engine block does not have the bolt holes needed to attach the intermediate shaft
