Hey Guys,
I bought a 1995 Honda Accord from Facebook marketplace and it runs great the tranny is just fine but it seems to have an acceleration problem. I took it to a good family friend mechanic who owns his own shop and he looked at it and said its a great car but so many different things could be causing the slow acceleration and loss of power.
I have since replaced the timing belt, water pump, put in iridium spark plugs, new alternator because the voltage regulator was blown on the last, and air filter. When I accelerate it will go okay but then when I get to normal speeds 20-40 I can press down the glass and there is really no response unless I go full throttle and it has a harsh downshift then will give me some rmps and power. When I am on the highway 50-60mph in 4th gear it will also not want to give me more power and cruise control has a hard time going up hills. AC has also gone out. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. Thanks

UPDATE
Just tested with the paperclip and it has a CEL 3 code. This is either my MAP sensor or I was looking at a post and it said TCU 3 is my Throttle Position Sensor circuit open or shorted so I do not know which one it is.
Went to a pick-and-pull and replaced the old sensor for 20$. Still a little slow to accelerate but a whole lot better now. Going to do a can of seafoam and maybe clean my throttle body and intake and check how dirty my valves are.
