Default 2019 Civic Door Lock Cylinder

Hello all, I had my dealership run a diagnostic on my car because my driver side door wouldn't lock. They said the door lock cylinder needs to be replaced. I ordered the part and removed the old door lock cylinder. When I installed the new one, the lock works when I use my key fob but when I use the key that came with the new part, it does not work to lock or unlock the door. So essentially I can only lock and unlock my car with the key fob but not with the physical key. Any idea what the issue might be? Is it that the key lock cylinder isnt lining up in the little white X looking part? I don't know how I can ensure that it does because you can only insert the cylinder one way and try to line it up with the part where you bolt it in (which I;ve done). I'm not sure what else I can do.

Any advice is appreciated. TIA.
