Hello all. Some background, I’ve rechipped dozens of Honda OBD1 computers over the years, so Im familiar with the process.

I need to get into mine to desolder and resolder some chips in, Ive taken all 4 screws out and it’s like nothing happened, the case doesn’t budge and wont open. Am I missing something to get into this thing? No matter how hard I pry the case doesn’t move at all to separate

What is the black thing in the middle there?

The center thing looks like a locking screw. Turn it left and it should unscrew, oem has a philips screw there. Thats a weird secondhand piece.
