Default Passenger Window stuck in the up postion

Hi. my passenger window on my 03 Civic EX recently got stuck in the up position. First, I check the fuse and it was blown. So, I replaced that and it blew again. Then I thought it might be the regulator and motor, so I replaced those. The window would roll up, but not down. So, the motor is working. I think replaced the passenger switch with another switch that I know works. Still the window won't roll down.

The window won't operate from the drivers side or passenger switch. Could a fault in the master switch cause this issue?

I visually inspected the wires in the passenger door and they look okay.

Wondering if replacing the master switch might fix the problem.

Has any other work been done to the car recently? Any body repair or car crash? Any aftermarket car alarm or security system?

You're probably going to need to trace the wire back from the regulator's motor. Unplug the harness from the window regulator's motor, and use a DC 12V tester or a test light to see if there is power alway going to that motor to trigger it going up. That is probably why your fuse keeps blowing, is that the load of constantly pushing the window up, is popping the fuse. So unplug the motor, test the plug for 12V power. If no power, make sure the fuse is good, and the ignition is on. Find the wire that has 12 volts and follow it back and check each connection and switch. Something is either broken switched on, or shorted to power. Don't forget to check the connection by the door hinge, where the door's wiring harness connects to the car's dash harness.
If the door's switch is broken and constantly telling the window to go up, it doesn't matter what the master switch does, because it will be fighting that constant signal. Unless you disable the other windows at the master switch by turning on the child safety lock out. If you do, then the master switch will regain power over that window. This may help you figure out where the faulty signal is coming from.

I should add one bit of information that may be relevant and I just thought of it. After I replaced the regulator and the motor, the window was in the down position. I could use the driver side and passenger side switches to move the window up, but not down.

But the window did not go up without use of the switch.

does that info make a difference?

I should also add. I checked the voltage on the passenger switch and both the up and down connections are getting 12v.

I then checked the voltage from the switch to the regulator and it was always showing 12v in the up and neutral position. When I pushed either passenger or driver switch to down, voltage when to zero.

the return line to the battery goes through the main switch, so, I think the main switch is stuck in up. I am going to try to replace the driver switch and see what happens.

The ground source for the passenger window also travels through the driver's side power window master switch.

Unplug the passenger window switch, (without pressing any switches); test for continuity to ground at cavity terminal no. 5 (Blu/Red wire) on that harness connector. Is there continuity to ground?
