Unable to mount transmission to engine
I spent over eight hours trying to mount the transmission to the but I’m really struggling, especially in the front where the dowel pins lineup am I missing anything
Did the torque converter slide out from the transmission?
I had to pull a D-series manual transmission back out once because I briefly let the end of it down, and the input shaft slid the friction disk down in the clutch plate. I of course didn't realize that, and continued to work for hours trying to get it to line up. I pulled the transmission back out. Realigned the friction disk, and it stabbed in right away once I had things lined up. So I know your pain. I've also had wire loom fall in-between, and had to stop mid way, because working by myself, I couldn't reach the wires to pull them out of the way.

From the photo shown it appears you have two dowel pins installed in the same location. There should only be one either on the transmission side or the engine block side, not both. Remove one of the dowels. Check the rear dowels too.
