Sorry for the name. I made this account when I way younger…
Alright I’ve searched on here and I can’t find anything that seems to help me out. Okay so here is the back story.
I picked up a 1996 odyssey that was H22A swapped. Guy did the swap and couldn’t get it running right. Had a big misfire at idle -Cylinder one. Did plugs, wires, valve adjustment, compressions test. Everything came out good. Ended up being he just ran the EGR vacuum straight to the manifold and it was pulling it open on idle. I plugged it and the van runs fine. The problem I’m having is that it’s currently running a 97 accord P0J ecu. It’s runs decent but is slow. I have a collection of ecus here none of them run it right except the accord ecu. Car is obd2. Here’s what I have tried
obd1 p13 h22a with jumper. Idle fine, exhaust was louder when reving, no power after about 3k rpm
obd1 p72 gsr with jumper, idle fine, 1/8 throttle runs like a race car. Anything over 1/8 throttle car bogs down and no power
obd2 accord p0j ecu- runs great, a little hesitant mid throttle but as fast as a stock 02 civic.
obd2 jdm p5m-003 prelude si - idles great, low throttle runs fine, anything above 3k or 1/2 throttle car runs slow and like dog crap.
now there are some things with this car that I don’t know. But here is what I do know,
01 h22a accord P2U5 5 speed trans wilwood clutch pedal came running with accord ecu harness is OBD2.
im sure there some things that I am forgetting, but the cars runs fine as is, it just doesn’t really have the *** I expected for a h22a. I’m still getting 27 mpg. I’m just not sure what to do. I was thinking there was a problem with the jumper harness as they “wired it” for vtec and pulled two pins. But I figured once I got the obd2 h22a ecu it would fix it. It did not. They also rewired the dizzy and there are random plugs hanging around. Here are some pics. Car has the immobilizer bypassed.
Probably has Accord injectors in it. Likely 240cc. Can't tell from pics.
Get some OBD1 H22 345cc injectors and use the OBD1 P13. These injectors will require a resistor box if the vehicle doesn't have one.
Or get some 290cc OBD2 Prelude injectors from a 97-01 Prelude and use the OBD2 P5M.
It's running like garbage on these ECUs because it's probably going extremely lean and knocking. If you value the engine stop beating on it until you get it figured out.

yea I just daily it right now. Keep it below 3k rpms. I pulled the fuel rail and it’s the h22a4 fuel rail. I tried to clean the injectors and get a number but couldn’t get one clean enough to find it. It looked like one had a 1103 or 1108 on it but the corrosion was horrible
on it.
