Default I'm completely lost on what to do

But I have a 2001 CR-V with 277,000 miles on it. There are a few things they I am having issues with. Misfire codes for random misfire, cylinder 1,2,&4. Checked plugs and cylinder 1s plug wreaks of fuel. Idles rough. Acceleration is sluggish. Shakey when stopped. When stopping at red light the rpms drop then bounce back up. Idk what's going on.

Start with a valve adjustment, change plugs, leak down and compression tests.

These engines will burn valves if they aren’t adjusted at timely service intervals.

How would I know that the valves are burnt? When I get to them?

Rule out it isn’t an ignition problem, or fuel problem, and that it’s a mechanical problem.

There are a lot of things that cause random misfires.

You have codes for multiple, so you should be diagnosing that first.

Start with checking your spark plugs and trace your way back. Plugs, wires, distributor.

Also check your fuel system (injectors)

Then do a valve adjustment and make sure that’s within spec for the valves.

How old is the timing belt and could it be stretched?

Don’t just start changing things though without verifying you need to, that is just a waste of money.

So from what I know the previous owner has done a full tune up. New plugs wires and cap. Also a new ignition. He said he had done a valve adjustment. Timing belt from my knowledge hasn't been replaced in the entire 277,000.

So I had it backwards. It was cylinder 4s spark plug that had gas on it. I'm getting spark on it but it's just showing the P0304 code

Very likely a burnt exhaust valve.

A leak down test would confirm.
