yup, only the dealer can do this.It ain't cheap atleast $60.00 i've seen some keys w/programming go for $100.00 so i wouldn't be a bit surprised if it cost this much.

It won't take em that long. But if you'll need to bring in your registration and I.D. to get a key made.To make sure it's the registered owner that is getting the key made.

Most dealers can "clone" a key that you bring them.

If your current key is working perfectly, they can clone it while you stand there.

It takes just a few seconds, and (in my case, anyway) it's not that expensive.
very true.......... it's called a "t5" key that can be added (the immbolizer code is different for each car) your other keys instead of having to get all your keys reprogrammed....it's about $30

Why?? Who here has it done any good to??
I will advise to put your money in an after market security system which features an immobilizer. At least then when they take it (your car), you can savor the fact that the insurance company gave you a discount on you coverage anyway.

I went to honda to get keys made for my prelude (which also has an immobilizer) and it was $7 each. Acura should be the same.
