2008 CRV passenger door won't lock
The power door lock on my coworkers CRV no longer works. Nothing from the master switch or the switch on the door. I would try to fix it myself, but it's not my car, and I'm really not familiar with these newer Honda systems. There is a lot more take-apart required than I realized.
My question is should the passenger doors on this CRV be manually lockable, or does the actuator have to engage for the door to lock? The manual switch on the door currently doesn't move.

Had a chance to look at this car. There is something physically wrong with the locking mechanism. The actuator tries to lock it, but cannot, and the locking button won't move smoothly to engage the lock. Owner will take it to a shop.
