Default Power loss after installing new cams

Hello guys,
I got a ITR B18C6 and I've just installed Skunk2 Tuner Series Stage 2 cams and I gained like 20hp at the top end but I significally lost a lot of power and torque between 6000-7000rpm, after 7k it's building up power really good but at 6500rpm it's got a big hole so my question is: do I need adjustable cam gears or a different intake manifold to "fix" my powerband?
I got a PLM 4-2-1 header, 550cc injectors, Link ecu and no distributor anymore (digi dizzy).
I hope anyone can help me or can show me their dyno sheet with a similar spec list.

How are you tuning it? Street, dyno? Did you gain 20 hp on the butt dyno or a real one?

I had a similar experience when I had a skunk2 pro series manifold on my B18C5 engine which is close to a ITR manifold design using same tuner 2 cams, I then upgraded the manifold to a skunk2 Ultra Street manifold and 74mm TB and that made the power band feel much better. I then got the engine tuned.
