I have a 99 civic, 1.6 SOHC and the fuel level sender is bad, now I understand it doesn’t hurt to drive it without it but none of my rigs have a working fuel gauge so I’d like to fix this one as It’s going to be the easiest now here’s my issue, nobody sells the fuel level sender anymore, the part is discontinued, not even Honda themselves have one, what can I do to get a working fuel level sender? I took it out and wiped the connections off and it worked for a little until the next time I turned the car on so It’s definitely bad, but considering I can’t get the part anymore, any ideas on what else I could do?
