I have a 2000 EBP Civic Si that I plan to resurrect. The car has been down for several years after spinning a rod bearing in a B20/B16A2 Frankenstein motor. It was a great motor for about 20,000 miles: 215 hp, 158 Tq. I loved that engine and it brought a smile to my face every time I turned the key and heard the rumble of the exhaust. I moth-balled the Civic while focussing on my 1990 240 SX type X. Now it is time to get back to the Civic Si. What is the best way to fix this? Tear the motor down and see where the damage is? Possibly replace the bearing and crank? What is the potential cost? Engine building is a little bit beyond my mechanical abilities although I could probably pluck the motor out of the car with a cherry picker to take to a shop/builder. Thoughts, comments, questions, or concerns?
