Greetings. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been having an issue with my wipers, intermittent works, the rest of the speeds do not. While I DID search the forums here, Google, and Youtube also, I could not find anything to help me with my particular issue. So far I have replaced the following:

• Wiper motor
• Wiper relay
• Wiper fuse
• Wiper switch

All severely corroded or non functional. The wiper linkage functions as intended however. When switching to INT the wipers run smoothly and do not bind or lag, but when switching further to the first speed, the RPM spikes severely, drops to nearly zero, and then the wipers die. The wiper fuse blows and then the wipers obviously cease to function. I was a general service tech once upon a time, but electrical issues were always out of my wheelhouse. With my very basic knowledge I suspect a short in the system but do not know enough to go about locating it. Any suggestions?
