Fuel pump sounds but no fuel
I recently changed my fuel pump to go all-motor, but the fuel pump I bought was meant for an EF instead of an EK. It still worked... for a bit. When I first put it in, I primed it a few times and heard it prime. then I started pouring out the top of my fuel filter. (I had the banjo fitting off) Meaning the pump works. Then a few days later I tried again, I could hear it prime but this time I was trying to start the car. Again it primed, but this time the car wasn't starting, strange. I took the fitting off once again and it was dry. The fuel wasn't coming through. I opened the fuel pump cover and pulled both hoses off, then turned the car for it to prime. Again it made the noise but no fuel came out. Why aren't I getting any fuel?
Pump is Brand new
Fuel is still good
Half tank of gas

You really need to get the proper sized fuel pump. Either way, is the fuel sock attached ? Is there a split/break in the short hose between the top of the pump and the fuel pump bracket ? If all of this looks good, disconnect the fuel feed line from the top of the fuel tank bracket and connect a short piece of fuel line terminating into a large container and turn the key on to prime the pump. If you get fuel, then you need to start looking toward the front of the car for your issue... smashed hard lines under the car, clogged fuel filter, etc.
I am upgrading to a 255lph fuel pump for more power and planning on running e85. All the components look good, the hose is new and the sock is on, the problem is no fuel is coming out of the "fuel feed line from the top of the fuel tank bracket" but I can hear it prime. I pulled it out again today and saw that the sock was ripped open, could that be the cause?
