9th Generation LX / EX 4DR Manual Question
Hi everyone,
Thanks in advance for everyone's help. I just picked up a 9th generation Civic, and I had a question regarding the VIN and the model number. The VIN comes up as a 2015 Honda Civic LX 4DR Sedan manual transmission on CarProof and VIN decoders, but the car itself is an EX model, and comes up as EX on Honda's ebiz.
I did some research and it seems like some other people were in the same situation and were confused as well. Apparently Honda didn't make a 2015 Civic EX Sedan in manual transmission in the US, but this option was available in Canada.
My question is: Did Honda just label their EX as LX technically for EX sedan models sold with manual transmissions in Canada?
The car is clean title, not stolen, VIN numbers match on door jam and under hood. No iffy business going on here.
