My car keeps trying to die and I don’t know why.
I have a 2002 Honda Accord, I just replaced the oil because it was causing issues, but every time I put my foot in the brake, it revs the car up and starts to die before going back to normal after about another minute of running.
First I would check to see if you have a vacuum leak in the brake booster. If there is only one vacuum hose going to the booster, you can disconnect it and block it with something like a large clean bolt, or wooden dowel.
Start the car and see if the issue has gone away. If yes, get a new brake booster.
Sometimes there is a one way plastic check valve in line to the booster, check to be sure that this is not cracked/broken a well.
