TLDR. Car doesn't seem to be registering the key fob, buttons on fob aren’t working and car won’t start. Also LDW light is now on too

Hey y’all,

Im writing to see if anyone has dealt with an issues I recently started having with my 2014 Accord Touring (155,000). Today I went out to my car to head to work and I noticed the door didn’t Auto Unlock when I grabbed the handle, I took the key out of my pocket and tried unlocking with the unlock button and that also wasn’t working. The red light on the fob was blinking but nothing was happening. I know the fob battery isn’t dead because I changed it maybe 7 months ago and when the battery was dying it still didn’t act how the fob did today.

I managed to unlocked the car manually with the key, only for the car alarm to go off, which I find weird saying as I just unlocked it? With the car alarm now blaring, I scrambled to try to turn it off but had no luck using the fob or trying to turn the car on. I grabbed the spare key from inside but that also didn’t work.

After the alarm turned off on its own, I tried to start the car but I kept getting a no key fob detected light! I tried maybe 10 times and eventually the car picked up the fob and it started. But I immediately noticed the LDW warning light was also now on.

I drove to work and the car drove fine and I didn’t have any issues, but I had the same troubles at the end of the day leaving work. Key fob wasn’t working and car didn’t want to start as well as the LDW light still on.

Ive done some research and have found like 2-3 people having some what similar problems but in those forums there was no answers or follow ups to what was causing the issues.

If someone has any ideas or knows what causing the problem I’d really appreciate some help!
