B16 - Rotating Crank while CAMS at TDC
With the timing belt REMOVED and the CAMs are set at TDC, can the crankshaft be fully rotated without any valves interfering with pistons? B16a2
While I dont think i'll have to go there, it would be good to know for an upcoming timing belt change.

Thank you. I'm sure I would feel them before bending a valve, but still it seems like it could be easy to get lost if anything is rotated withe the belt off.
On other non-hondas iv'e done timing belts on, the cams are set to a non-TDC "service" position before the timing belt is removed, and which that lets you rotate the crank freely to any position.

Back off the valve adjustment screws if you are unsure. Solves the problem, and you probably needed to adjust your valves while you had the cover off anyway.
