hey im new to cars i have a feeling the ticking is the valves intake side maybe idk i have a video ill post here and lmk what u guys think. it runs fine ig its just hella annoying fr. if u cant see the video lmk ill post a link

 

Did you replace LMA’s? Also just adjust the valves, must be done cold, 0.006-0.007 intake 0.007-0.008 exhaust.

 

yea i was planning on adjusting them. and what are LMA's

 

Lost motion assembly, about $100 for aftermarket ones from Skunk2 or Supertech. They are known to get sticky on these older b16s and I personally just replaced mine last week. Adjust the valves and if the issue continues look into replaces the lmas.

 

ight thanks i think mine are already aftermarket skunk2 id have to do sum research and look and see what they look like. valve adjustment first for sure

 

Yea, seeing your cam gears and the fel pro head gasket, somebody has been in there so I wouldn’t doubt if they’ve been upgraded. Looks just like a spring though.

 

yea i looked them up its the springs ive heard LMA before i just couldnt remrbr they was the springs. but thanks for replying your a G. ill come back to this when i fix the problem.

I’ve never used it, but I have seen guys vouch on facebook for them so take that as you will.

 

Update the Ticking Was the Valve Lash its much quieter barely there now. onto the next problem with my MAP Sensor Plug/wire. im Going to replace the entire plug and see if that fixes my other problem.
