As the title states i have a 1997 Honda Accord 4dr 2.7L V6, the car its self runs fantastic drives straight as an arrow, but was in a low speed impact. I bought the car to fix up for my daughter. I been working on cars since my teens. Ive owned several hondas in my time but this one has led me as well into a low speed impact into a wall of frustration. Here in Washington *Renton* I cannot find anything anywhere as far as a hood and fenders for this car. Ive learned that only 1996-1997 v-6 accords are interchangeable Hood and fenders. rest of the parts are 94-97. Im mildly suprised that a following such as Honda does not have an aftermarket division of even bolt on fiberglass parts for these cars. All production sheet metal for V6 fenders and hoods are discontinued. My question now comes to the experts here as to if it is possible to bolt an Acura front end assembly or any other bolt ons for fenders and hoods. I been looking for over a month for junkyard parts, seems these items are sold before they even enter the scrapyards. Finding an out of state yard that one; will let me know if a part is in stock and two; will ship parts has just been a nightmare. All they say is they guarantee the car is in thee yard lol....so if i wanna waste my time driving to Oregon or California its gotta be on a whim and a prayer. Please help! any help would be greatly appreciated im all in now..no im not giving up or selling and buying a different car. She just needs some cosmetic love.

 

we bought a fender *passenger side* for it its for the 4 cyl model..its a bit to short in length lol for giggles i bolted it on anyways but nah

 

ok found the correct hood and fenders, next big hurdle is the radiator support. I checked various places and some post 4cyl and v6 are different, some reference them as interchangeable. Mine being a 2.7L V6 does anyone here have knowledge if these are vehicle specific or not? Once i get that figured out i can get going on putting this back on the road.

 

Yay got scammed, now out $250 and no fenders or hood, back to square one
