I have a 97 del sol with a y7 and I just put on a skunk 2 intake manifold and throttle body. I put a block off over the iacv spot on the back of the manifold because from what I’ve read its not possible to run it on a stock obd2 ecu. No matter what I try though I keep getting this nasty high idle just over 2k. It sounds as if it has a lopey cam. I have checked for leaks and the car dies when you put your hand on the tb. Its not fully bled but the resevior and radiator have coolant. For more info I am using the y8 throttle cable, I have a new tp sensor and gasket because it was throwing a p0122 code, and when I adjust the tp sensor one way the camming noise speeds up but when I turn it the other way it never goes slower then It was before. Code didnt go away either. Should I just run the stock throttle body so that I can retain iacv? ANY advice would help its my daily😁

 

Deviating from stock without tuning capability causes issues like high idle and others.

You are dramatically changing the air flow of the engine as well as removing idle controls of the engine like the IACV. If you can't tune and adjust engine management to accommodate your changes, you are going to have nothing but problems. You are running on the fringes our even possibly outside the engine management programming. Don't expect it to run well.
