Default P0730

Hello,

I have a 1999 Accord EX 2.3l 2 door. Pulled The DTC P0730. I have replaced solenoids b & c. Today I replaced the dual solenoid and it made my car run much worse. Any ideas on what is causing the issues?

why did you decide to replace the solenoids?

what are the other symptoms- delayed shift, slipping ect.?

I assume you checked fluid level and condition. was it dark and burnt smelling?

There are many things that can cause this code, many of them internal transmission issues. it would be worth your while to have it towed in for a professional diagnosis.

Yes, I checked to transmission fluid and changed it. The fluid was brown and had not been changed. The transmission started of with a little jerk here and there. Then got worse causing the check engine light to come on. Now it will barely drive, its doing a really hard jerk every time I try to go from being stopped. Then once I get it going it's like the transmission quits working and won't engage. Then back to the hard jerking. I changed the solenoids because that was what a mechanic said to do.

Those should be resolved first before trying to address P0730. If it returns after those are resolved it's going to take some special tools and pressure testing of hydraulic circuits to find the root cause. But most likely it just needs the trans replaced or rebuilt.

P01738 is gone. The P1739 is back along with the P0730. P1739 says Manufacturer Control, any idea what that means?

That just means it's not a universal code used by all manufacturers. it's a code # that only Honda uses. most basic scanners will only include detailed descriptions of the universal codes. That keeps them affordable.

This code is for the 3rd pressure switch circuit. either a faulty switch or loose or damaged wiring. If it were me I would pick up a new OE switch, check the wiring thoroughly then install it and clear the codes.
