Default To Turbo.. or not to turbo?

..Although I COULD do the wrench work myself.. the question is , should I go through putting a turbo in the Lude? Its a 97' SH and I assure you , I have built a beautiful machine.. and with all the high-flow and pullies / port-polish... all other little things all of us have done.. still the dream of a screatching turbo makes me smile.. Now , I almost have the funds.. but I need a little support ( PROS/CONS ) of putting a turbo on a stock SH engine..? maybe , I know I need to reinforce some things but your feed back would be VERY helpful.. thanks to all !

"screeching turbo" and what of course makes the 3G upgrade worth it: that beautiful "WOOSH!". Man I'd spend the money just to hear that bov. HAHA... jokes bro. I just wanted to throw that in. I'm contemplating the same question as you but won't be ready for it for another 2 years or so. Good luck! (sorry for not really giving you any useful feedback... but I may have pumped you up a little to go for it!)

do you want a daily driver? are you mechanically inclined and ready to be under your hood constantly checking to make sure your car is running properly?

Turbo gonna cost a lot of dough, unless you plan to stay at low boost.

Turbo will **** w/ATTS...I wouldn't reccomend it on an SH. They don't like wheelspin they like to grip

SH stands for super handling...or Slow as Hell. (**** I dissed my own car )

seriously the SH is a great track car, but it isn't a drag car.

Agreed, and no Prelude for that matter is very greatly responsive to drag. It was designed for it's elegant handling ability. My friend has a turboe'd base model and is begging for traction....and LSD is a must if you decide on boosting, but even so there is a lot of time spent underneath the hood of you car. I give the if you decide to do it, it's always nice to see a 400whp Prelude

bling bling my turbo h23 will start this week, sleeves, pistons, rods , etc. damn 3k goes quick when building a block. Just remember turbo'd motors require alot of love.

PS: I hope this thing starts
