Hello I'm brand new here first post ever so I own a 1992 Honda Civic DX four-door 1.5 l that I've put almost four grand into and just recently this winter it started having an issue where after about 15 minutes of driving or running whatever getting warm it starts to sputter going through gears it'll sputter for like the first like 3 seconds and then it'll go back to normal and then it'll start sputtering again and just recently I've replaced the fuel pump the fuel filter I've done the injectors bout 2 years ago I also replaced the spark plugs the wires it's got a brand new five-speed transmission new clutch new pressure plate if anybody could help me solve this problem I would be greatly appreciative I'd even send you some money cash app this car is like my child id do almost anything for the little guy I also checked the idle air control valve and it was clear there is one thing that I did do I adjusted the idle screw but I just adjusted it back to the normal position it was in also retimed as well but it still has that problem so please help me!!!!

 

What I would try is is possible find someone with a known working distirbutor and see if it stilll does the same. I would suspect that the coil or igniter is on its way out this it a a guess tho since it only does it intermitently..If not available I would get one from a junkyard. Also see what temp the engine temp reads when it sputters if possible with a scanner.Another thing I would look at with a scanner is how the bank 1 sensor 1 is acting (should go up and down in readings not steady).

 

Thank you so much I'm going to check a few things today I work overnight so I have to do most of my stuff either early in the morning or super late at night but I'm going to check the distributor cap the rotor I'm also going to do the spray test to see if there's any vacuum leaks and see if that solves the problem if not I would love more information from anyone!
